Minimal plugins are employed to create more engaging gameplay and to allow a natural evolution of the game world environment that is completely controlled by the players.
Buy villager eggs to create your own player shops. You can rent out space at spawn or start your own settlement out past the badlands. Either way, you can rake in those emeralds and strike it rich if you play your cards right and corner the market.
Start with a total of 400 blocks. Place down a chest to create your initial 10 x 10 (100 block) claim, which you can resize as you see fit. After that you gain 50 blocks per hour of gameplay up to a maximum of 6000 accrued blocks. Additional blocks can be bought for 0.75E each.
The player economy rotates around the Emerald. Exchange precious metals to Emeralds anywhere using
/sell hand with Netherite, Diamonds, Gold, or Iron in any form in your hand to get paid for your finds.
There is a one to one relationship between Emeralds and the in-game currency. Use
/sell hand or
/deposit hand to put money in your account and
/withdraw to get it out in Emerald form.
Our goal is to keep the map clean and somewhat orderly. To make the experience more immersive, we encourage players to set up communities and build natural looking structures and foliage for realism. Large statues that detract from the overall appearance or just seem out of place i.e. cars, pokemon, or floating platforms are highly discouraged.
To assist with maintaining our natural resources in the over-world to the best extent possible, we have a resource world, resource nether, and resource end which automatically reset every seven days. We also offer admin shops in the main Castle at spawn. The admin shops are open the first seven days of every month to buy bulk material like stone, dirt, sand etc. There are also a selection of shops that rotate for other special items. As of now, there is an End Shop, an Oceanic Material Shop, and a Redstone Shop. In order to keep the economy balanced and player-driven, all items are sold at above average prices.
The following commands allow access to each resource world:
/resource tp nether
/resource tp end
Currently there are seven achievable ranks. The system is simple and gameplay is much more inline with survival Minecraft in the beginning. You start without the ability to warp and are only given one home location.
/spawn are the only free warp commands in the game. As players progress, more home locations can be earned. Only Citizens and above have access to public warps (at a cost). Nobles are the only rank that can create their own warps.
Basic essentials commands and one home location.
In addition to all basic permissions, Drifters gain the ability to use the
/condense command to turn all applicable items into blocks. Drifters are allowed two home locations.
In addition to all Drifter permissions, members gain the ability to use the portable
/ec ender chest command to interact with their ender chest from any location. They also get a total of three home locations.
Citizens have access to
/warp commands for public warps, the
/craft command for a portable workbench, and are allowed five home locations. They can also catch passive mobs with chicken eggs!
Nobles have the ability to create their own public warps. Nobles have access to 10 private home locations and unique server regions other players don't have access to. Nobles can silktouch spawners and place them in the world and use
/back command to teleport to point of death.
Legends gain the unique ability to keep all XP on death thanks to their renown.
Immortals gain the unique ability to keep their items on death.
PixelFish uses a minimal amount of plugins to enhance the survival experience without being too excessive. This also includes access to the beautifully rendered dynmap which can be found here. Below is a list of common commands to help you get up and running.

Players start out with 400 Claim blocks and gain 50 additional blocks per hour of gameplay. All players max out at 6000 claim blocks earned from gameplay, regardless of rank. Players can buy additional claim blocks. To claim your first area, place a chest down. The first chest you place will automatically create a 10 block x 10 block claim around it. The corners of your claim will be represented as gold blocks with glowstone showing the corner directions. Players can click their claim with a stick at anytime to see the outline of their claim.
To resize your claim you will need to use a golden shovel. Using your golden shovel, click a corner and then click somewhere else to expand or reshape your claim. It's that easy! The original chest does not have to remain where you placed it to keep the claim. If, for some reason, a player decides to move, claims can be abandoned by using
/abandonclaim and half of those claim blocks will be added back to the player's total balance. If you want to create a non-adjacent claim, just shift click with your golden shovel to create another area. Here's a few of the top commands to know:
||Lists your current claims and claim block details. Good for finding old claims.|
||Deletes the claim you're standing in. Only returns half of the blocks!|
||Deletes all of your claims. Be Careful!|
||Will buy additional claim blocks at $0.75 emerald coins per block.|
||Will sell unused claim blocks at $0.50 emerald coins per block.|
||Gives another player permission to edit in your claim.|
||Revokes any permissions granted to a player in your claim.|
||Gives a player permission to use your buttons, levers, and beds.|
||Gives a player permission to use your buttons, levers, beds, crafting gear, containers, and animals.|
||Lists the permissions for the claim you're standing in.|
||Gets a player out of a land claim they're if they get trapped inside.|
||Switches your shovel to subdivision mode, so you can subdivide your claims.|
A full list of GriefPrevention claim commands can be found here.
Claims can be only be established in the main over-world, main nether, and creative world! Claims expire after 90 days of player inactivity. Also, if you are having trouble using basic Redstone items i.e. hoppers, pistons, etc - make sure you are building in claimed space. Global perms prevent certain actions.
A players current rank is displayed before their name in chat. Typing
/ranks will display a list of all achievable ranks and their requirements. Once the requirements have been met, players can type
/rankup to rank up to the next rank. To see a list of available rank "perks" see
Certain areas in the world are available to rent, contract, or purchase. These areas are designated by Moderators and above. Players can setup shops or homes in these areas at a cost. There is a slight difference in how each designated region works.
|Rent||These areas are rentals which must be re-rented before their expiration. A timers will begin to update on the sign to let the rentor know how long they have left on that property.|
|Contracts||Contracted area work much like rentals but will autorenew as long as the player has the funds in their account.|
|Buy||Bought real-estate is acquired at a flat cost and remains in the possession of the purchaser ad-infinitum. On Pixelfish, claims will be put back up for purchase if the owner has not logged in for over 90 days (No refunds!!).|
Getting money in and out of your bank account is pretty straight-forward. You can use the Essentials
/sell command to sell any precious metal for Emeralds, but you can get access to your account funds from anywhere in the world using the following commands.
||Will withdraw the specified amount from your bank balance. It will automatically group into Emerald blocks for larger numbers and will drop on the ground if your inventory is full.|
||The "all" option will deposit Emeralds or Emerald blocks from your inventory into your bank account whereas the "hand" option will only deposit either of those items you are holding in your hand.|

The Economy in Pixelfish revolves around the Emerald, Minecraft's default currency. Emeralds can be earned by finding them in the wild or setting up your own Villager trading spot. A player's balance is determined solely on their ingenuity, patience, and creativity. Precious metals in the game can be converted to Emeralds using the
/sell command with the item in their hand.
Players can invoke the
/sell command to sell any of the following precious metals, in all craftable forms i.e blocks, nuggets, ingots, for in-game currency anywhere in the world. This is a quick way to transform the precious goods you find to Emeralds. However, keep in mind that these values will fluctuate though and can be affected by the community's market trends.
Midas coins are the currency for all Admin shops. The value of these coins is affected by how many are traded at the Spawn Bank. Currently, there are three booths with player privacy locks where players can exchange Emerald Blocks for Midas Coins and another three booths for exchanging your Midas Coins to Emerald Blocks. The more people who buy in to the currency, the higher it's value goes. The opposite is also true!

Keep them and look for profits!
Share prices are a combination of ores mined vs sold and used in game by all players. Rates fluctuate and are published twice every day immediately following the server reset. If you play your cards right, you might just bank a serious stack of Emeralds! You can list current market prices by entering the command:
/markets. You can also see how much it would cost to buy a certain amount of shares using:
/sharecost [market] [amount]. If you own shares and want to see how much you'll get from selling them do:
/sharevalue with the shares in your hand. Keep a look out for the wave indicator. It signifies random generated movement which will likely resolve on the next refresh.
Killing mobs might randomly drop their head! These heads are like collector pieces that you can place around your base to show off your kills.
We created our own custom datapack to open up generally un-craftable items in a fair and balanced way. Recipes are subject to change based on player feedback.
A sweet datapack that adds Pillager fortresses with procedurally generated underground rooms! These are found in the outer, un-generated chunks of the overworld and in the resource world!
Choicetheorum's overhauled villages make villages worth setting up shop in! Most of the villages in the overworld on Map two have been regenerated to take advantage of the awesome buildings and all the resource world villages will generate using it! Below are some screenshots.
All the under water ruins got a makeover and have new loot!
All the portals in un-generated chunks are massively cooler!
There are numerous communities across the Server. These communities act as hubs for players to access the server bank as well as trade with admin and player shops. Plots can be contracted in these locations to set up a shop or just build a house with easy access to the market. In order to allow these hubs to flourish and grow, dedicated players can be given region access to build and expand them in creative new ways. Players can access these communities using the provided warps at Spawn. All warp requests cost 10 emeralds.
Pixelfish is all about promoting large-scale communities. We like to think of ourselves as a friendly SMP server for everybody. There are very few limitations aside from the built in GriefPrevention and Emerald economy. However, with the Shopkeepers plugin, it's easy to start your own Empire and currency on the server, or join up with your friends to make a sprawling oasis. We're looking forward to seeing all the awesome stuff you build!
