About this Guide

This guide briefly covers gameplay and familiarization with the mods included in the pack. It is not a comprehensive guide, but it should help you get up and running quickly. If you have more advanced questions, be sure to join our Discord, or check out the documentation for the mod in question.

LevelZ

Curseforge Link

What is it

This mod adds player skills which you have to level up to unlock gear/items/blocks. We have created a custom datapack that adds to and modifies LevelZ defaults for our custom set of mods included in the pack. In More Lore RPG Edition, you start out with three hearts and 5 points to spend. How you choose to spend the points will be based on your gameplay style. You can open the LevelZ menu using the k key or by entering your inventory and selecting the tab at the top as shown in the image below.

**Image of level screen here**

XP for LevelZ is gained by picking up blue experience orbs. These orbs drop from most things you get normal XP for i.e. killing mobs, mining coal, smelting ores, trading etc. You can see how far your progress towards the next level is in the LevelZ menu, indicated by the bluebar as shown above.

In the early game, you are a one-shot for enemies like skeletons, and even most zombies will kill you with only two hits. It is important to get some armor as quickly as possible. With level one Defense, you can create wood armor, which we highly recommend, since it blocks most projectile damage. This will keep you from rage-quitting early on, since you can't use a shield until Defense level 8!

Learning more

You can see what is available to you in JEI as well as by clicking the book icons in the LevelZ menu and by clicking on the icon associated with the skill category you want to learn more about. These respective areas will show you things like: what armor you can wear, what weapons you can use, what blocks you can mine etc. It is definitely worth getting familiar with.

RPG Classes

We use a lot of RPG Class addons in this pack. Check each one out for more information.

What is it

RPG Classes offer a separate skill tree to gain passive and active abilities. Once you select your path, you are locked in, so make sure it's what you want! The RPG Class skill tree can be accessed by using the n key. From here you can see how many points you have currently and can assign them to the class you have selected. For most of the abilities, you will need to also craft the binding table to create your class' manual. This manual can be equipped in your spellbook slot to give you access to the your class' unique abilities menu to the left of your main hotbar.

**Image here of abilities**

With the Warrior class for example, you get access to a weapon throw command, which is good early on for ranged attacks until you can unlock access to bows. Most abilities have cooldowns and special animations that integrate nicely into the Better Combat mod.

Better Combat

Curseforge Link

This mod offers unique animations and abilities not found in vanilla Minecraft. It includes several one-handed, two-handed and dual wielded attack animation resources. More accurate weapon collision detection which means no more pixel hunting with your cursor, you can now just swing your weapon and hit whatever is in the way. Enjoy playing in third person view. It also provides a more natural look and feel where attacks have an upswing phase before the hit is actually performed, like in real life.

Weapon combos are a thing - some weapons have a sequence of different attacks and you can dual wield any combination of one-handed weapons! Use the attack hotkey to alternately attack with main-hand and off-hand. On the other hand, weapons marked as two-handed weapons, fully disable offhand slot, when held. Sweeping Edge has also been reworked. A weapon swing hitting multiple enemies deals reduced damage. To deal full weapon damage against all targets, you need to have Sweeping Edge enchantment. Finally, you can hold the attack hotkey to spam attacks on cooldown.

Terrain Generation and Structures

Lithosphere: Curseforge Link Still Life: Modrinth Datapack link

**Image here **

Our selected terrain gen mods are what set this pack apart! We use Lithosphere with the Still Life datapack. this results in beautiful, sprawling open worlds that allow for exploration and require patience to travel! Biomes are extremely large, and you have to do some exploring to find a good pace to set up your base. In the early game, forests are dangerous. The forests in this pack provide dark spots where mobs love to spawn and when you only have three hearts, that spells trouble!

Waystones can be found throughout the land. Mining these and giving yourself a warp network is a good plan up front. Sparser structures ensures that the map is not littered with random stuff like the Better Minecraft modpack. You will never get bored with the selection of structures we have in this pack. The variety is well-balanced and each offer unique loot that you might not otherwise have access to, due to level restrictions, which makes exploring them worth it - just be careful! Most of the structures have custom mobs or pillagers, that pack some serious heat.

Land Claims

As with our main More Lore pack, we use Open Parties and Claims for our Server. We also bundle this in the client pack. This mod allows you to do some pretty cool stuff, like prevent spawning in your claimed areas, and force loading certain chunks for critical farms that you run. On our server we balance these settings and cap you out at 500 chunks max and 10 chunks for force-loaded claims. The force-loaded claims is subject to change based on server performance, but we will never reduce the number of chunks you can claim.

Complimentary Reimagined Shaders Baked In!

The pack comes with both Complimentary Reimagined and Complimentary v4 already installed. We defaulted to reimagined because it brings back some really nostalgic vibes to the Super Duper Graphics project announcement that Mojang abandoned years ago. It truly makes the game come alive!

Incendium Nether

Incendium

In addition to extending the Nether's generation height to 192, Incendium adds 8 all-new biomes and 9 new structures with new custom mobs, items and advancements. Terrain is also overhauled, with jagged mountains, twisting caves and much more. Incendium makes the nether slightly more difficult, but much more rewarding as well. Structures like the Nether Reactor, Sanctum and Forbidden Castle hide treasures that only the greatest adventurers will be able to obtain.

Nullscape

Nullscape

Nullscape introduces variation to the End’s alien landscapes, while maintaining the dimension’s barren and hopeless atmosphere. Nullscape’s terrain is inspired by material science. Our formula allows players to travel thousands of blocks and still find new, bizarre landscapes. Nullscape raises the height of the End dimension to 384 blocks, bringing tremendous amounts of verticality to the End islands.

Deeper and Darker

Deeper and Darker is a mod that aims to enhance the Deep Dark in Minecraft. It adds many new features related to the Deep Dark and a new dimension called the Otherside. To enter the Otherside, kill the warden and use its heart. Play the mod to find more content and explore hidden mysteries!
