About this Guide

This guide briefly covers gameplay and familiarization with the mods included in the pack. It is not a comprehensive guide, but it should help you get up and running quickly. If you have more advanced questions, be sure to join our Discord, or check out the documentation for the mod in question.

Better Combat

Curseforge Link

This mod offers unique animations and abilities not found in vanilla Minecraft. It includes several one-handed, two-handed and dual wielded attack animation resources. More accurate weapon collision detection which means no more pixel hunting with your cursor, you can now just swing your weapon and hit whatever is in the way. Enjoy playing in third person view. It also provides a more natural look and feel where attacks have an upswing phase before the hit is actually performed, like in real life.

Weapon combos are a thing - some weapons have a sequence of different attacks and you can dual wield any combination of one-handed weapons! Use the attack hotkey to alternately attack with main-hand and off-hand. On the other hand, weapons marked as two-handed weapons, fully disable offhand slot, when held. Sweeping Edge has also been reworked. A weapon swing hitting multiple enemies deals reduced damage. To deal full weapon damage against all targets, you need to have Sweeping Edge enchantment. Finally, you can hold the attack hotkey to spam attacks on cooldown.

Terrain Generation and Structures

Techtonic: Curseforge Link
Geophilic: Curseforge Link
[Let's Do] Blooming Nature: Curseforge Link

For MoreLore Core Edition, we use Tectonic, Geophilic, and [Let's Do] Blooming Nature to overhaul the vanilla biomes and terrain generation. We tried to keep the pack as close to vanilla as possible, while enhancing the landscape and foliage. In the early game, forests are dangerous. The forests in this pack provide dark spots where mobs love to spawn, and with all the Mob addons we include, it can get pretty scary, pretty fast!

Waystones can be found throughout the land. Mining these and giving yourself a warp network is a good plan up front. Better Sparser structures ensures that the map is not littered with random stuff like other modpacks. You will never get bored with the selection of structures we have in this pack, but it will take some traveling to find them all! The variety is well-balanced and each offer unique loot, which makes exploring them worth it - just be careful! Most of the structures have custom mobs or pillagers, that pack some serious heat.

Create

Curseforge Link

We use Create version 6: Post Production in this pack. It is a Vanilla-friendly tech mod that is based on using kinetic energy to automate as much as possible. We also include several addons to enhance the normal Create mod experience. More information can be found in our full mod list.

Create Aeronautics

Curseforge Link

More Lore Core Edition contains the long-awaited Create Aeronautics mod! With it, you can build airships, vehicles and boats powered by real physics. The mod can take some time to get used to, but when you see what it can do, there is no going back! The trailer is presented below to highlight some of its features.

Create Crafts and Additions

Curseforge Link

Create Crafts and Additions is centered on converting Create kinetic energy into electricity. You can store energy in accumulators (i.e. batteries) and route the electricity throughout your base using wires resulting in some either very impressive setups or tangled messes!

Hexalia

Curseforge Link

Hexalia is a nature-bound magic mod centered on rituals, herbal alchemy and living flora. Gather wild herbs and cultivated crops, refine them through simple tools and shape their essence using salt and elemental forces. Awaken enchanted plants that breathe life into your surroundings, brew potent mixtures with layered effects and craft idols capable of bending weather or cleansing what has been corrupted.

From transmuting the world through Mutavis and Morphora, to flowing through water with the Kelpweave Blade or unleashing volatile herbal concoctions, Hexalia offers a grounded yet expressive form of magic—one that grows alongside survival and exploration of the world itself.

Land Claims

We use Open Parties and Claims for our Server. We also bundle this in the client pack. This mod allows you to do some pretty cool stuff, like prevent spawning in your claimed areas, and force loading certain chunks for critical farms that you run. On our server we balance these settings and cap you out at 500 chunks max and 5 chunks for force-loaded claims. The force-loaded claim limitation is subject to change based on server performance, but we will never reduce the number of chunks you can claim.

You claim chunks by opening the Map, using the m key. The right click, or click and drag to claim land. Your land claim will show up on all other players map (if they've uncovered your area) as a red shaded area. The following are select commands you can use with this mod in-game:

  • /openpac player-config … - player config commands
  • /openpac-claims … - everything claim-related
  • /openpac-parties … - everything party-related
  • /opm - shortcut for the party chat

You can configure the keybind to open the GUI, or use the default set in the pack: ' (single apostraphe)

Complimentary Reimagined Shaders Baked In!

The pack comes with both Complimentary Reimagined and Complimentary v4 already installed. We defaulted to reimagined because it brings back some really nostalgic vibes to the Super Duper Graphics project announcement that Mojang abandoned years ago. It truly makes the game come alive!

Eternal Nether

Eternal Nether cranks up the heat in Minecraft's hottest dimension - transforming the fiery underworld into a whole new battleground! Explore the fortress-like Piglin Manor, the towering Citadel, and the haunted Catacombs, each crawling with fierce new mobs and powerful treasures hidden in the ashes.

Rescue allies, defeat corrupted enemies, and shape your destiny in a Nether that's more alive - and more deadly - than ever before. New mobs, new loot, new blocks - and of course, way too much lava. Bring your best gear, your sharpest reflexes, and maybe a few extra fire resistance potions... you're gonna need them!

Nullscape

Nullscape

Nullscape introduces variation to the End’s alien landscapes, while maintaining the dimension’s barren and hopeless atmosphere. Nullscape’s terrain is inspired by material science. Our formula allows players to travel thousands of blocks and still find new, bizarre landscapes. Nullscape raises the height of the End dimension to 384 blocks, bringing tremendous amounts of verticality to the End islands.

Deeper and Darker

Deeper and Darker is a mod that aims to enhance the Deep Dark in Minecraft. It adds many new features related to the Deep Dark and a new dimension called the Otherside. To enter the Otherside, kill the warden and use its heart. Play the mod to find more content and explore hidden mysteries!

Ephemeral Dimensions

Ephemeral Dimensions Logo

Ephemeral Dimensions is a mod that allows you to travel into your dreams or nightmares for a very short period of time. To do this, all you need to do is prepare a sleep soup that will immerse you in your dreams!
